Working on my mindset
Well, well, well…it has certainly been some time since I last wrote anything for the blog…so what have we been doing??? LOTS of mindset work! That’s for sure!
To make this past year short and simple…I started a new local meal prep service called Prepped Girl.
We make healthy breakfasts and lunches and we deliver them to our customers’ doors early Sunday morning. This new business (along with teaching, being a mom, and life in general) has kept me pretty dang busy.
But to be honest, starting that business was a lot harder than I anticipated.
Yes, it was more physical work than I thought it was going to be (looking forward to hiring a few employees soon!), and drumming up consistent customers isn’t always easy, but what really surprised me was how much mental energy the business required–the challenge it presented to my mindset.
I have shared before on this blog and in my social media posts that I am someone who struggles with depression and low self-esteem (victim mindset).
Starting this meal prep business was way out of my comfort zone.
And not just out of my comfort zone but waaayyy out of who I considered myself to be…if that makes sense.
I guess I wasn’t quite ready to think of myself as a business owner, as someone who could step out there and make something happen.
My mindset was one where I considered myself to be small…too small for this kind of BIG thinking.
So, I had to work on growing into who I need to be, and THAT has taken a lot of mental energy.
I don’t believe we are ever really done growing, not if we want to live purpose-driven lives, but I do think sometimes we hit patches in our lives where the growth is exponential, where we are taking 10 giant steps forward rather than just one.
I finally feel better as I have grown into a more positive mindset. Still growing (every week brings a new experience) but feeling way more confident.
So that brings me to our new program we are offering (because Beachbody runs deep in me).
New Food Mindset Program
It’s a program designed to help you change the way you think about food.
It’s not a diet.
It’s not even a workout program.
It’s a mindset program.
