And…The Challenge Begins!

Day #1

There are “28 magical practices that have been specifically designed so that you learn how to use gratitude’s magical power to revolutionize your healthy, money, job, and relationships, and to make your smallest desires and your biggest dreams come true. You will also learn how to practice gratitude to dissolve problems and transform any negative situation.”

To start, each day I am to list 10 “things” I am grateful for. “Counting your blessings is one of the most powerful practices you can ever do, and it will magically turn your whole life around.”

So…

  1. I am grateful that my mom is still alive. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

2. I am grateful that it is summer. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

3. I am grateful that I have Zeus. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

4. I am grateful that my family is safe and well. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

5. I am grateful that people I don’t know trust me enough to feed them. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

6. I am grateful for the lake trip. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

7. I am grateful for daily walks with Zeus. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

8. I am grateful that I can express my thoughts through writing. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

9. I am grateful for my body. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

10. I am grateful for all the life experiences I have had. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

After I make my list of 10 Things, I have to go back, say them out loud, and say/write “Thank you” 3 times after each one, since “Thank you” are the magic words.

It was kind of a struggle to move beyond obvious things to be thankful for…

And that’s it for Day 1.

Simply make a list of 10 Things to be grateful for, but this one practice continues every day for the next 27 days…
